The Present

Hey there. Been a while.

We've been spending some time apart, but that time is over now. I came back from a 3 week journey to Australia with Yas and boy that was an experience. As I told George via a text: plenty of material for songs now.

So a quick recap:

George the Greek has been teasing me with a series of home recordings on his bass and new toys. To say hypnotic would be close to the mark. I can picture him at Ozora, leading day-long ambience pieces that'd lift people into a drug-fueled state of nirvana. He's got some cool things cooking.

Rockstar Arpi has been shrinking his gear into more sleek, petite packages. A musical humanoid like me can't make head nor tail of it but the sound they produce gives me goosebumps. And he's kickstarted something we've been teasing these past few weeks and I can't wait to sink my teeth into it.

As for my beloved Gay Boy he's been hitting the drums like a man possessed, like a beast that's been let out of its cage. I sense something big coming from that man soon, and it will shape the face of our next chapter as a band.

The Future

As for what's coming in 2K24, there are shapes of dreams and things in the bag for sure. Our immediate goal is to develop new material and test them on stage, to continue upsizing our venues and attendances, to keep experiencing the 'you experiencing us' thing.

We're going to attempt things like Tik Tok and try flexing with Reels and things that are C.O.N.T.E.N.T but our focus will be in taking that next step musically. (Boy, don't I sound like a pretentious muso now? Ma would be proud).

And judging by the sounds produced by the boys on our first rehearsal back last week, I can see an excitement building. New moods are gestating in new rhythms and timings, new visions are coming to mind, blending in with flashes of experience I've had while away in the land of Oz. The heart of these next batch of songs is going to be visceral.

Hopefully we'll have a couple ready for you by March 29th at Robot!
