Red Pill tries to capture the essence of humankind's origin: conscious and breathing but fighting forces constantly in our face. But in doing so, we're free. At least in a Sisyphean kind of way.

 

Then the need for more than mere existence comes along, a seed for us birds to make us fly, and it absorbs our attention and our lives.

 

And this line of pursuit has led us to the Metaverse.

 

The end of the song brings together the imagery of us as apes, running wild and free, to us as we are now, choosing a digital existence over a physical one.

 

And here, as I sit and write this, I am subject to this same enslavement.
